Ich arbeite seit über 30 Jahren als Licht- und Bildgestalter bei der technischen Realisation von Film- und Fotoproduktionen.
Dabei habe ich vor, hinter, aber überwiegend neben der Kamera als Gaffer gestanden.
An dieser Position werden künstlerische Ansprüche mit den realen Möglichkeiten abgewogen. Improvisation ist eine Vorgabe bei der cineastischen Lichtgestaltung, mit der ich bei der technischen fiktionaler Bilder immer wieder konfrontiert werde.
Ein Grund, warum ich den herkömmlichen “Silberfisch” für seinen Einsatz am Set optimiert habe.
Das Ergebnis ist eine robuste, ultra-leichte Handblende – das SILVERFICHE® BOARD.
Als Gaffer kann ich mit dieser flexiblen Handblende diskret in die Szene einwirken und spontan Lichtakzente erzeugen.

For more than 30 years I’m involved in the realization of film- and photo-productions as gaffer and cinematographer. In that time I stood in front, behind but mostly beside the camera – as gaffer.
On this position you have to evaluate between artistic demands and real possibilities. Improvisation is one of the guidelines in cineastic light designing I often was confronted with during the realizations of fiktional images.
One reason why I optimized the conventional “Silberfisch” for its use on the set.
The result is a sturdy, ultra-light hand-reflector – the SILVERFICHE® BOARD.
In my function as gaffer I’m able to create a discrete influence into the scene with this hand board.
